It implies that UTTVM is aware what is happening however is unable to act due to being subjugated by the Hijacker. It's a concept I like.

^^^^ Maybe TTVM is fighting with the Core Hijacker and is sometimes not in control. Erratic behaviour from him would certainly make him a more interesting character (not that my boy is not already interesting and cool).
