Is Shedder meant to be a tracker of sorts? Because I speculate that the antenna thingy on her right wing is designed to pick up tracking devices hence her sudden appearance after Hunter's departure after planting the last of the tracking devices.

I think the reason why she looks malish is because, boom didn't finish her design. This means that is just her Prototype and in the full episode, her design will be finished and will look alot more like a femela. Cause the episode is rushed so be the Characters design.
