TV Man

The Large TV Man, or Polycephaly (a nickname given by DaFuq!?Boom!), is a significantly larger iteration of the regular TV Men, resembling the Large Cameramen and Large Speakermen in his physical appearance. He possesses the same psychological attack capability as the standard Normal TV Men, but his effects are significantly amplified and more potent. In Episode 68, he is equipped with speakers instead of TVs, making him essentially a miniature version of Cinemaman, who received similar upgrades.

Appearance[]

1.0[]

Large TV Man 1.0 features a large TV, which serves as his main head and primary display, positioned at the top of his neck. A thin metal pipe connects this main TV to his body. Additionally, he has four smaller TVs attached to the back of his body via thin metal tendrils—two on each side, one on the upper half and the other on the lower half. He wears a black suit paired with a purple tie. His hands are covered with black gloves and he completes his outfit with black pants and shoes resembling those worn by business professionals.

1.1[]

Large TV Man sports a suit jacket paired with a sleek, purple tie, black dress pants, and polished, black shoes. His head is a swivel mount. Additionally, he possesses the ability to extend CRT monitors mounted on arms that emerge from his back. He can extend his speakers on his back in his 1.1 version.

This unique feature allows him to display multiple screens simultaneously, making him a walking multimedia hub. Large TV Man's unconventional design not only showcases his technological prowess but also sets him apart from other characters in the genre.

Large TV Man is also constantly playing static on his screen, just like his four other CRTs. This constant display of static on his screens adds an eerie and mysterious element to his character, creating a sense of intrigue and curiosity among those who encounter him. The white screens also serve as a blank canvas, allowing him to project images or messages onto them, further enhancing his role as a walking multimedia hub and making him a captivating presence in any setting.

Abilities[]

Large TV Man isn't known for having many skills; however, the few he has are quite useful. These come pre-installed, including Blinding Screen and Teleportation.

Combat[]

Quad-TVs[]

As the name suggests, they're four TVs/screens that Large TV Man typically carries stored in a mechanized backpack. These TVs complement the Blinding Screen, serving as support for enhanced effectiveness of the Blinding Lights.

Quad-Speakers[]

As the name suggests, they are four moderately large speakers that replaced his TV screens. They function similarly to the speakers of Cinemaman, which attack using Soundwaves, though these are more for pushing back and making enemies recoil.

Blinding Screen[]

The Blinding Screen is a pre-installed ability unique to the Large TV Man, consisting of powerful lights transmitted through his screens. It's useful for stunning enemies; however, it cannot affect Skibidi Toilets with Sunglasses or Heavy-Duty Vision Goggles.

Movement[]

Teleportation[]

Teleportation is an ability that comes pre-installed with all TV Men, and the Large TV Man is no exception. Though his teleportation doesn't differ from other TV Men, it's still useful for escaping battles.

Support[]

Vacuum Screen[]

Sucks in the Teleportation smoke from the Target Which stops the Teleportation, First used against Chief Scientist Skibidi Toilet in Episode 70 to stop him from escaping.

Displaying[]

Displaying is an ability that comes pre-installed with Large TV Man. As the name suggests, it allows him to broadcast what other Cameramen see. It's not useful in combat but handy for infiltration missions.

Trivia[]

  • Only one Large TV Man has been shown, showing how small their faction really is.
  • He is the first TV Man to feature multiple TVs. However, after his upgrade, Titan TV Man has more than him.
  • He is the first TV Man to have a longer neck (second being TV Woman).
  • He looks similar to a TV Man in DaFuq!?Boom!'s deleted video from 2021, resembling Slenderman, projecting a mirror and a red tie. It looked like a TV Man. (It is possible that this was foreshadowing the entire Skibidi Toilet series.)
  • His backpack is confirmed to be optional equipment, as seen at the end of Episode 69 where he had a type of pod to keep his extra speakers.
  • Large TV Man is currently the only TV Man to not have yet used emoticons.
  • The community has decided to keep naming him Large TV Man as they've grown accustomed to the name. Furthermore, it is easier to pronounce and remember.
    • Polycephaly derives from Greek origins, with "poly", meaning many, and "cephal”, meaning head. In conclusion, his translated official name means "Many headed" which is fitting for him since he has multiple TVs.
      • However, this name might no longer be correct since his other TVs got replaced by speakers.
        • However even though people still think the speakers is also head, that also no longer correct since his speakers got replaced by Detaining claws.
  • Large TV Man had first spoken in Episode 60. He said, "Press F to pay respects" in reverse.
  • He is the second character to swear in the series, the first being a Normal TV Man from Episode 43.
  • He said "First, we watch" in Episode 68 to the POV-Cameraman, making this the second time where the POV-Cameraman watched through Large TV Man's screen, the first one was during Episode 60.
  • Despite his very rude and swearful demeanor, he seems to be nicer to other Alliance members when compared to a majority of other TV Men, like when he evacuated many agents in Episode 76, which other TV Men didn't do, or when Chief Scientist fired his lasers, he told them to retreat and covered them from lasers, putting himself at risk. This demeanor is similar to Titan TV Man, showing that large units seem to have stronger connections to their titans. The reasoning for this is unclear.
  • He is the fourth character who stole Astro Toilet's technology (if cybernetic lasers and an Astro helmet are counted as stolen technology) since he uses a small replica of the Detaining claws that were taken from the Detainer Astro Toilet and modified by the Scientist TV Man.
  • He is the first TV Man to have two TV beams only he can use, possessing both the white and black beams that no other individual has used.
