Info
The Lens is a protective gear used by the POV-Cameramen and other Cameramen to protect their camera sensors from the hypnosis light emitted by the TVs.
Appearance[]
The Lens is a circular/square piece of glass surrounded by a black circular ring, most likely including a polarizing filter, or being a more powerful variation of one.
At the end of the full episode version of Episode 69, the lens given to POV-Cameraman, along with the lens the Armed Cameraman is wearing, is a rectangular lens instead of a circular lens. Most likely DaFuq!?Boom! realized how weird cameramen looked with the circular lens. The rectangular lens fits exactly to the size of the cameramen's screen, ensuring that the Cameraman wearing it will not be affected by any screen attacks.
Lenses initially were metallic when they first debuted in the series, but they began to consistently appear darker later in the series.
Titan Cameraman had a special lens where it was cracked and the top is bent to make a drooping circle.
Functionality[]
The main purpose of the Lens is to protect the Cameramen from Photon-Based Armaments, including TV Men beams and other flashbangs. It has been seen to stop all effects of these beams, allowing Cameramen to continue fighting even under the harshest light conditions. Overall, the Lens is a vital piece of Alliance armament, and The Alliance would not have made it this far if not for the Lens.
Creation[]
The Lens was presumably created by the TV Men, as they give it to the POV-Cameraman for the first time in Episode 40. They were likely constructed for the sole purpose of protecting the Cameramen from the radiation emitted from themselves. Although, The Lens are also used by cameramen to avoid screen attacks by TV-possessing Skibidi Toilets.
In Episode 42, the Claw Car Skibidi Toilet stole the Lens from the POV-Cameraman and brought it to the Chief Scientist Skibidi Toilet. He created the Sunglasses to give the toilets the same protective effects. This is why the toilets smoothly kept moving in Episode 43.
Trivia[]
- The Lens was the first protective gear that protected the vision of its users, and the second protective gear after the Headphones.
- If the Cameramen do not wear Lens, then they will indubitably be blinded as happened in Episode 61; however, they will not get effected from Normal TV Man, and do not need to wear the Lens in their presence.
- It is possible that the Lens became darker because it was a different one.
- As of recent episodes, the Lens have not appeared for a brief while now as it took 24 episodes for it to reappear.
- Titan Cameraman would be confirmed to utilize lens during the events of Episode 67.
- We can see that the lens of Titan Cameraman is the same as the one's who the Large Cameraman have.
- They are never seen being worn by any member of the Speakermen race, although this is could probably be due to their presumed resistance to light based attacks.
- This has been confirmed in Episode 70 after the Dark Speakerman didn't get affected by the Red Screen.
- There are now 2 types of Lens, Circular Lens and Rectangular Lens.
- Circular Lens are now only used by the Black Camerawoman (Most likely), some Normal Cameramen who haven't gotten any upgrades, and Titan Cameraman, and also the Large Cameraman. And the Rectangular Lens are currently only used by the Armed Normal Cameramen in Episode 69. (Full Episode only)
- People think Titan Cameraman's new Lens got bent in Episode 70 for him flying into a dam, but this isn't true as you can see it bent before he crashes into the dam.
- The Skibidi Toilets likely invented Sunglasses using the lens the Claw Car Skibidi Toilet stole in Episode 42.
- This invention became obsolete after The Alliance kept destroying them, but it seems that they came back after Upgraded Titan TV Man came back.
- The last circular lens were used by the Blue Shirted Very Large Cameraman and Plungerman, probably now becoming a treasure in the Cameramen faction.
