TV Man
TV Man

74-TVLab

The Scientist TV Man (also known by his human name as "Takuma Hakashita" (Japanese: "畑島 拓真")) is a unique variant of the Normal TV Man. He was first introduced in Episode 66, when Large TV Man teleported the POV-Cameraman and other members of The Alliance to the TV Men headquarters, in which he approached the POV-Cameraman and shone a light into the POV-Cameraman's lenses in order to most likely scan the condition of his body.

He is shown to hold great authority within the TV Men faction, possibly even being their leader, as he commanded both Dark TV Man and Titan TV Man, although his exact rank in the hierarchy is not clear yet.

He was once a human scientist named Takuma Hakashita. Although not much is known about him at that time.

Appearance[]

TV Form (Current)[]

The Scientist TV Man's outfit consists of a white lab coat with a pocket including a tag with a television icon similar to TV Woman's head on it, as well as the text "D67 (Mirror writing of D67)" displayed on the icon's screen. He also wears black dress pants, a purple shirt under his lab coat, and black shoes.

The Scientist TV Man's head is reminiscent of that of a Normal TV Man. However, unlike other TV Men, the Scientist TV Man features a curving wire at the top of his TV head.

Human Form[]

The human form of the Scientist TV Man has the same outfit as his current form. Instead of "D67", the tag on his pocket reads Takuma Hakashita. He has a light skin tone and black/dark hair, and he is part of Japanese ethnicity. Additionally, he wears rectangular glasses. His human design is based off the character Shun Akiyama from the Ryu Ga Gotoku series due to their similarity in appearance.

Personality[]

As the leader of the TV Men, the Scientist TV Man has been depicted as a rather pragmatic, reserved, secretive, & authoritative figure, evidenced by his arc statement, "Confidential" accompanied by a wink-face emoji  ;). Episode 74 only seems to add fuel to the fire when he angrily demands Dark TV Man turn off the Camera Recording on his chest ("Turn OFF this f*cking camera!"), possibly because he doesn't want others to see what he's working on. He also seems to value progress over his comrades' safety & well-being, shown by the VERY unsafe layout of the TV Men laboratory (Multiple guardrails w/o any supporting structures & TV screen geometric surfaces from weird angles). In fact, the reason of why he & the other TV Men communicate with backwards speech is because they are distrustful and paranoid enough that they don't want to be discovered by someone spying on them.

This, however, leads him to argue with Titan TV Man in Episodes 74 & 77, debating whether they needed to bring G-Toilet back to their base alive & remaining underground hiding in secrecy from the Astro Invaders instead of helping their Alliance comrades who were in danger. In the Season 25 Compilation, it can be inferred that he deeply resents Detective Cameraman due to his fear that the Detective will discover his affiliation & involvement in the events that led to the beginning of the Skibidi Toilet Invasion. We see in a flashback in Episode 77 where he was staring at a teleportation smoke portal with "Warning!" messages all over the screens, with the backwards dialogue heard in the background implying that he couldn't help but reopen the portal to the other side out of curiosity despite his colleagues pleading him not to go through with it, with his solemn expression showing he wasn't happy with what he did.

Abilities[]

While Scientist TV Man lacks any combat skills or experience, he is shown to very durable & strong much like his TV Men counterparts, as well as having remarkable intelligence.

Support[]

Translating Device[]

The Scientist TV Man used a microphone, which he attached to the left side of his head, to reverse his voice in the fourth extra scene of Season 25. This was used to allow him to communicate with the Human survivors.

In episode 77 his first appearance is when the camera switches to the TV Men Laboratory, where we see a Normal TV Man, Titan TV Man, and Scientist TV Man. Titan TV Man then talks about his plan on how to defeat the Astro Toilets. While they talk Titan TV Man says "Are we going to stay and watch them die?" The Scientist TV Man replies by saying "It takes sacrifice to achieve progress... Better safe than sorry... I learned it the hard way..." as he sips his coffee. Titan TV Man says "YOU IMBECILE! In the full episode, when the extremely injured Titan TV Man teleported back to the TV Men Laboratory, Scientist TV Man shouted "Look at yourself! Why did you stay!?" to which Titan TV Man responded "YOU NEEDED SAMPLES. I BROUGHT YOU SAMPLES." and dropped the Juggernaut Astro Toilet's cannon on the floor. After a few seconds, the Scientist TV Man got really concerned and muttered "Why... Gate... It's not closing!" and displayed a ":(" emoji on his television. Afterwards, everyone looked at the teleportation smoke becoming orange. It turned out that the Overseer Astro Toilet managed to interrupt Titan TV Man's teleportation, allowing the Duchess Astro Titan to capture him.

Afterwards, two Interceptor Astro Toilets emerged from the gate and raided the TV Men Laboratory. The Scientist TV Man managed to survive the attack, however, the whole base got ruined. Following Mothership Astro Toilet's attempt to destroy the TV Men Laboratory and the TV race once and for all, the Scientist TV Man used a panel that allowed him to teleport the TV headquarters to another place. During that event, a flashback of the Scientist TV Man in his human form was seen for a short period of time. At the end of the episode, he was seen standing next to TV Woman with sadness, as he lost his Titan and his base almost got destroyed.

Season 25 Compilation[]

The Scientist TV Man before and after putting the Translating device on.

In an extra scene from the Season 25 compilation, before the events of Episode 77, the Scientist TV Man would appear as a prominent character. As the humans were being accustomed to in the Cameramen laboratory, the Scientist TV Man would enter the place via Teleportation and come around the corner with an associate, the Brown Speakerman. In the Brown Speakerman's hand was a Translating device, and after passing it to the Scientist TV Man, he would promptly attach it onto his head and speak to the Humans, asking if anybody worked at Alpha-Hills Labs. As a human scientist was about to speak up, the Detective Cameraman would come around the same corner and approach the scientist, putting a hand on his shoulder. The Scientist TV Man would not be pleased at the Detective's interruption, and he would say to him: "Know your place".

The Detective would raise his finger as to have a moment with the human, but the Scientist TV Man would snap and pin the Cameraman against the wall. The Detective Cameraman, in self defence, would aim a Plasma revolver at his head, and the skirmish would be briefly resolved as the two backed off of each other.

Turning to a Cameraman Guard, the Scientist TV Man would ask if all human survivors had been analysed. When the Cameraman responded with a nod the Scientist TV Man would proceed to exclaim, "Then tell me... What the hell is that?!", referring to the Messenger Skibidi Mutant, who had suddenly appeared in the room. After dodging a blast from a Handheld laser cannon, the Skibidi Mutant would inform them that he was sent to the Cameramen laboratory to tell The Alliance that it was time to bury the hatchet and unite the once enemy factions. The scene would end with the group of five, including the Scientist TV Man, staring at the Mutant.

In this episode, the Scientist TV Man did not directly appear on the screen - instead, he was briefly explaining the current situation in the background, talking about the consequences of Titan TV Man's capture in episode 77. After he got converted into the Watchman of Doom, the Astro Toilets managed to access the Alliance's transmissions, putting them at a severe disadvantage. As a result, the Alliance was forced to cut their intel, and that led to them getting blind, which means that they can't see what's happening around the world anymore.

Trivia[]

  • Currently, there has only been one Scientist TV Man to be shown in the entire Skibidi Toilet Series.
  • He is the only Normal TV Man to be wearing a different type of clothing if TV Woman is not accounted for.
  • He is the only Normal TV Man with a different CRT-TV Head.
    • Additionally, his CRT-TV Head is the same as the Large TV Man's smaller TVs.
  • He has a wire upside his TV, making him unique in the race.
  • His tag "D67" probably meant that something important would happen in Episode 67.
    • This has been confirmed, as in Episode 67, Titan TV Man returned.
  • In the shorts version of Episode 66, his Speech could be heard but with a different message that said, "This should be a surprise."
  • It seems that he is taller than the Normal TV Man thanks to the wire on top of his head.
  • While looking at one of Detainer Astro Toilet's Detaining claws, he said "Take it to our lab," according to the captions. But when it's reversed, Scientist TV Man says "Get this b**ch to the lab." He also said "Confidential" while teleporting away with the Detaining Claw.
  • His full body is seen in the Full Episode compilation of Episode 72.
  • He is the first TV Man to use the ":(" emoticon.
